Nuovo Grand Tour is a residency project for young European talents under the age of 30 in Italy and France, conceived by the Institut Français Italia (IFI) / Embassy of France in Italy in 2022. This large-scale artistic program promotes cultural dialogue and European values of exchange, acting as a concrete act of the shared visions on youth and culture set out in the Quirinal Treaty, signed by Italy and France in November 2021.

In line with this program, the DGCC will support the residencies of 50 young Italian artists and creative people under the age of 30 in France over the next three years, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) through the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris (IIC Paris).

To implement this project, the Direction générale de la création contemporaine and the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris, with the institutional collaboration of the Institut Français Italia, are launching an open call for Italian artists aged under 30 on March 31st, 2024, for artistic residencies in France, taking place between autumn 2023 and spring 2024.

Artistes en résidence will host an Italian artist between February 15th and March 31st, 2024.

The call closes on August 31st, 2023 at 11:59 pm.
