Guilhem Monceaux

Born in 1987, lives and works in Paris, France.

Guilhem Monceaux, independent curator and teacher, is interested in the links between art and critical pedagogies. With a view to horizontality and sharing of knowledge, he sets up working groups that bring together artists, students and researchers of various ages and practices in order to dissect together how to move within institutional systems: between mimicry, emancipation and imagination of new ways of collaborating.
Their reflections are embodied in collective forms that navigate between fiction and reality, between art and the social sphere, one rooting in the other and vice versa. The curatorial work of Guilhem Monceaux is naturally extended by his commitment within activist collectives that fight to improve the status and working conditions of art workers.
