Invited by A·R as part of La Diode enchantée, Hélène Hulak and Valentin Godard present L’Impératrice éponge, a multi-faceted artistic project that blends painting, textile sculptures, video and fragmentary storytelling. The work explores the figure of a fictional, mutating, oracular female entity to examine gendered representations, relationships with power, the ecology of care and metamorphosis. The project combines handcrafted and immersive elements with digital tools, adopting a hybrid approach that straddles the boundary between performance and visual arts.
